Canning, visiting with the ladies, etc .. August 25...

Last nite i made .. well canned peaches and pears off our trees. well the ones the birds didn't get to.. This is our first year/ house having fruit trees.. so its a learning process all the way through. So yesterday i harvested some fruit and last nite i made fruit cocktail light syrup. i had a little bit in a container that didn't fit in the jars.. well this am when my son Joey found it.... it was gone.. literally.. he ate it and tried getting a jar.. So i know that is yummy..

Then this am at 5 am i got started on caning more.. squash relish.. and Jalapeno Jelly.. Already my kids loved the jelly and it had not fully cooled. Joey said he will have to have a gallon of milk whenever he eats any.. Then this afternoon i had some Jalapeno Jelly on a tortilla with cream cheese. one of my favorite snacks.. :)

 I couldn't find my pampered chief chopper so i ended up Cutting it all by hand. I gave up on grating it and just cut it all up.. * cups worth.

During the process of all this and even after for a bit the ladies visited here and there... it was nice.. They kept coming in and then Happy my chicken herder would come in and escort them out.. Below are pictures of my Ladies coming to see me..

During the day.. my wonderful husband has been working on the Camry.. Bless his heart.. he does all he can to make sure we all are safe.. He is my grease monkey.. I love this man..<3
